Plain-language beta terms

STRIDE OS Terms of Service

These Terms explain what you are agreeing to when you create an account, save athlete data, or use paid STRIDE OS features.

Not legal advice. This is an operational beta Terms draft for launch comfort. It should be reviewed by qualified counsel before broad school or district sales.

1. What STRIDE OS is

STRIDE OS is a decision-support tool for running coaches. It helps estimate training paces, compare performances, organize rosters, and support coach planning from athlete performance data.

STRIDE OS is not a medical device, health-care provider, injury-risk tool, emergency service, or replacement for coaching judgment.

2. Who may use it

STRIDE OS is intended for coaches, staff members, and authorized adult users. It is not intended for direct use by children. If you use STRIDE OS for a school, club, team, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to use it for that organization.

3. Your coaching responsibility

You are responsible for final coaching decisions, athlete safety, and the context STRIDE OS cannot know. STRIDE OS may be wrong, incomplete, stale, or inappropriate for a specific athlete. You agree not to treat app output as medical advice or a guaranteed prediction.

4. Athlete data authority

By entering athlete information, you confirm that you are authorized to store and use that information in STRIDE OS. For athletes under 13, you confirm that you have parent/guardian permission or school/district authorization where legally permitted before entering personal information.

5. School and team use

If a school, district, club, or team has a separate written agreement with STRIDE OS, that agreement controls if it conflicts with these Terms. STRIDE OS is built to support a school's student-data privacy process, but the school or district makes its own compliance determination.

6. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Do not share credentials with unauthorized users. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

7. Payments, trials, and subscriptions

Paid plans may be billed through Stripe. Trial, monthly, annual, founding, school, or team offers are shown at checkout or in a written quote. Unless a checkout or written agreement says otherwise, subscriptions renew until canceled. Deleting your STRIDE OS account does not automatically cancel a Stripe subscription; use the subscription portal or contact support.

8. What you may not do

9. Service changes

STRIDE OS is early-stage software. Features, calculations, pricing, limits, and integrations may change. We will try to give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid users or saved data.

10. Data and privacy

Your use of STRIDE OS is also governed by the Privacy Policy. We do not sell athlete data, run ads, or train outside AI models on identifiable athlete data without explicit permission.

11. Intellectual property

STRIDE OS, its interface, proprietary analysis, scoring, and software are owned by CoachLab/STRIDE OS or its licensors. You retain rights to the athlete and team data you provide.

12. Disclaimers and limits

STRIDE OS is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any prediction, pace, lineup, event fit, or recommendation will be accurate for a specific athlete. To the fullest extent allowed by law, STRIDE OS is not liable for athlete injury, illness, race performance, coaching decisions, data loss, downtime, indirect damages, or use outside the intended purpose.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security risk, misuse athlete data, fail to pay a required subscription, or use the service in a way that creates legal or operational risk. You may request data export or deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law and disputes

Unless a written agreement says otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws that apply where CoachLab/STRIDE OS principally operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Attorney review should finalize the governing-law, venue, arbitration, and entity language before district-level sales.
